Cargo airline

Cargo airlines ( en. Cargo airlines ) are carriers for the transport of air cargo. Your customers are mainly international freight forwarders. For the transport of special cargo aircraft or the lower decks of passenger aircraft ( belly capacity, stomach capacity ) is used. Today's large-capacity airliners allow partly an already very high Frachtzuladung on the lower deck, so that the use of pure cargo aircraft loses its necessity ( eg Boeing 777- 300ER aircraft up to 25t ). Insb. within Europe and additional cargo trucks have replaced the cargo aircraft in passenger aircraft.

A distinction between pure cargo airlines (so-called " All- Cargo" ) and such cargo airlines that are part of a larger passenger airline are ( for example, Lufthansa Cargo, a subsidiary of Lufthansa). The World's Largest All- Cargo service provider is FedEx (USA). Europe's largest all- cargo company is Luxembourg's Cargolux.
