Cariboo Mountains

The Cariboo Mountains are the northernmost part of the chain of the Columbia Mountains, the 245 km from north to south and up to 90 km in east- west direction, drag to the west of the Rocky Mountains in the Canadian province of British Columbia.

Physical Geography

The Cariboo Mountains are to the north- east by the Rocky Mountain Trench, which is here crossed by the Fraser River, is limited; to the west they go about as Quesnel Highlands designated hills in the Cariboo Highland or in the Nechako Plateau around Prince George over. The 7700 km ² large area is by the valley of the North Thompson River to the east and south, his delineation of the Shuswap Highlands.

The highest peak in the Cariboo Mountains - whose summits are usually named after politicians in the province of British Columbia - is Mount Sir Wilfrid Laurier with a height of 3,516 meters west of Valemouth.
