Carl Barton Huffaker

Carl Barton Huffaker ( born September 30, 1914 in Monticello, † 10 October 1995 ) was an American biologist, ecologist and agricultural scientists.

He made ​​significant contributions to population ecology and to the study of biological pest control. Until 1985 he was a professor at the College of Natural Resources, University of California, Berkeley, where he set up the Centre for biological pest control. His scientific achievements were reflected in over 200 scientific publications and has been awarded among others, the Wolf Prize.
