Carl Benjamin Klunzinger

Carl Benjamin Klunzinger ( born November 18, 1834 in Güglingen, † June 21, 1914 in Stuttgart ) was a German physician and zoologist tropics.

Carl was the son of Benjamin Klunzinger Güglinger city minister Karl Klunzinger. He lived 1863-1869 and after three years of residence in Europe for treatment of his collections again 1872-1875 as a doctor mostly in Al- Quseir ( Koseir ) on the Red Sea, the coast of which he repeatedly visited along with the Nile Valley.

After returning to Germany, he received the position of curator of the natural history cabinet to Stuttgart. He was from 1884 to 1900 professor of zoology, anthropology and hygiene at the Polytechnic Stuttgart.

The railway and hydraulic engineer Paul Klunzinger was his brother.
