Carl Busch

Carl Reinhold Busch ( born March 29, 1862 in Bjerre, Jutland, † December 19, 1943 in Kansas City ) was an American composer of Danish origin.

Busch studied at the Conservatory of Copenhagen and Benjamin Godard in Paris. In 1887 he emigrated to the United States and worked as a music teacher and 1912-1918 as conductor of the Kansas City Symphony Orchestra.

He composed a symphony, a symphonic poem ( Minnehaha 's vision ), two orchestral suites, a string elegy, cantatas, anthems, choruses and songs.
