Carl Concelman

Carl W. Concelman (* December 23, 1912; † August 1975 ) was an American electrical engineer. He developed several coaxial connectors for high frequency applications.

During his work for the Amphenol Corporation, he invented circa 1942 the C connector to connect coaxial cable. In collaboration with Paul Neill of Bell Labs he invented the late 1940s the input BNC (Bayonet Neill Concelman ), a connector for coaxial cable with bayonet lock. The present inventors have also developed in the late 1950s the TNC Connector ( Threaded Neill Concelman ), a variant of which is secured with a thread.
