Carl Eduard War Cross

The Carl- Eduard War Cross was founded on July 19, 1916 by Carl Eduard of Saxe- Coburg and Gotha and was awarded for outstanding military service in the First World War.

The religious character is a silver cross slot in the form of a St. John cross with a green enameled laurel wreath. In the center of the cross there is a large medallion that displays the initials of the founder CE, surmounted by a crown.

A total of 99 awards, including two with diamonds, documented.
