Carl Frederik Tietgen

Carl Frederik Tietgen ( born March 19, 1829 in Odense, † October 19, 1901 in Copenhagen) was a Danish banker and industrialist, who was close to the Privy the Danish king as a consultant.

Through the establishment of a private bank, he could participate in the formation of many companies. Among these companies are both conglomerates and specialized company in the field of transport and logistics, food production and telecommunications, which still exist today.

Tietgen was one of the key figures of the Industrial Revolution in Denmark.

He funded the construction of Frederik's Church in Copenhagen.
