Carl Gunnarsson

Carl Gunnarsson ( born November 9, 1986 in Örebro ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player standing since 2009 with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Carl Gunnarsson began his career in his hometown in the youth of Örebro HK, for the first team he in the 2003/04 season his debut in the HockeyAllsvenskan was, where he came in his rookie year in 43 games on four assists. Then the defender moved to Linköpings HC, for which he was employed in the following season only at youth level. In the season 2005/ 06 Gunnarsson first played in the Elitserien, where he remained point and impunity in 14 games. He also ran in 12 games for the second division club IFK Arboga this season.

In the years 2007 and 2008, respectively Gunnarsson was runner-up with Linköpings, where he in 2006/07 season also ran aground 15 times for VIK Västerås HK in the HockeyAllsvenskan. In the 2008 /09 season the links Sagittarius stood in all four group matches for his team in the newly formed Champions Hockey League on the ice.

On 3 June 2009 the Swede of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League was signed, which had previously selected him in the NHL Entry Draft in the seventh round in 2007 when a total of 194 players.

Internationally

For Sweden Gunnarsson took part in the U18 World Youth Championship in 2004, as well as the World Championships in 2009 and 2010 in part.
