Carl Hartmann

Carl Hartmann ( born February 8, 1894 in Potsdam, † June 24, 1943 ) was a German football player.

The striker Union Potsdam debuted in 1923 in the 0-0 draw against the Netherlands in Hamburg in the German national team and scored a short time later Germany almost single-handedly 2-1 victory against Switzerland. Then - and because of his three goals in the cities of Berlin game against Hamburg - offered both the SC Victoria Hamburg and the TV Eimsbütteler the striker to help with career advancement. He finally gave preference to Victoria Hamburg and played with his brother Erich several years on the high air.
