Carl-Henning Pedersen

Carl -Henning Pedersen ( born September 23, 1913 in Copenhagen, † February 20, 2007 in Frederiksberg) was a Danish painter.

Pedersen was self-taught, he received his artistic training from 1933 with Else Alfelt ( 1910-1974 ), who later became his wife. 1948 belonged to Pedersen of the founding members of the Parisian artists of the CoBrA group, whose name was formed from the initial letters of the cities Copenhagen, Brussels and Amsterdam, from which came the founding members. Pedersen is known painting of the cathedral at Ripen from the years 1982 to 1987.

Of his works can be seen in the Cobra Museum ( Amstelveen, Netherlands).

In 1969 he was awarded the Henrik Steffens Prize. On September 5, 1974 Pedersen was knighted first class of the Dannebrog. In 1976, in Herning, the Carl- Henning Pedersen & Else Alfelts Museum.

Carl -Henning Pedersen was 93 years old.
