Carl Klingberg

Carl Klingberg ( born January 28, 1991, Gothenburg ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is since 2011 at the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League under contract and in parallel for their farm team St. John's IceCaps played in the American Hockey League. His younger brother John is also a professional hockey player.

Career

Carl Klingberg began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the Frölunda HC, for the first team, he made ​​his debut in the Elitserien, the highest Swedish league announced in the 2008 /09 season. He scored two goals in ten games and gave a presentation. In the following season he was able to improve on six goals and seven assists in 49 games for Frölunda. In his first two years as a pro, he was also sometimes referred to as Players out on loan for the Borås HC from the HockeyAllsvenskan, the Swedish second division, are used. In total he scored for the team in twelve second division games four goals and seven assists.

On 31 May 2010 Klingberg signed a contract with the Atlanta Thrashers, who had previously selected him in the NHL Entry Draft in 2009 in the second round as the 34th overall player. The Atlanta Thrashers awarded him then back to the Frölunda HC, where he spent most of the season 2010/11.
