Carl Toldt

Carl Toldt ( May 3, 1840 in Bruneck / Südtirol, † November 13, 1920 in Vienna ) was an Austrian professor of anatomy.

Life

1864 ended Carl Toldt his medical studies at the University of Vienna. After his habilitation, he was appointed professor there for anatomy. In 1876, he moved briefly to Prague, but returned already in the same year returned to Vienna. In 1897 he was appointed Rector of the University of Vienna. After his retirement he worked on in his field. In 1905 he was appointed a member of the manor.

In 1932 in Vienna Penzing ( 14th district ) of the Karl- Toldt pathway was named after him.
