Carl Vezerfi-Clemm

Carl Vezerfi - Clemm ( born March 15, 1939 in Budapest, † February 17, 2012 in Munich) was a German sculptor, medalist and Münzgestalter. He created commemorative coins of the Federal Republic of Germany, medals, sculptures and other works.

Life

Carl Vezerfi - Clemm grew up in Budapest. From 1958 to 1962 he studied sculpture and painting at the Art Academy in Budapest. There he was taught by Jozef Reményi. Apart from artistic training, he was from 1963 to 1966 active in journalism as a freelancer for various weeklies.

From 1966 he lived in Munich. From 1967 to 1974 he was a restorer at the National Collection of Antiquities and in the Glyptothek in Munich. From 1974 to 1982 he worked as a medalist at a private mint in Munich. From 1983 on, he was freelancing.

Carl Clemm Vezerfi - owned since its founding in 1988 to the artist circle of Medalists Munich, the sculptor and Münzwettbewerben proven Medalists are members.

After a long illness Vezerfi - Clemm died on February 17, 2012 in his apartment in Munich. His last will according to his urn was buried in an unmarked grave at East Cemetery in Munich in silence.
