Carla Gravina
Carla Gravina (* August 5, 1941 in Gemona del Friuli ) is an Italian actress and politician.
Life
Gravina made her debut at age 16 with a role in Guendalina in the cinema and soon ( in the Unterhaltungssshow Il Musichiere ) on TV. She played a wide range of roles, from comedies like I soliti ignoti about costume dramas such as the highly successful television series Scaramouche and Madame Bovary to drama Un colpo da pistola and modern pieces such as Giorgio Strehler Baruffe chiozzotte. Other notable roles were in the partisan e gli altri Jovanka, a Jewess in Tutti a casa and possessed by the devil in the horror film L' anticristo.
October 23, 1980 to July 11, 1983 Gravina was a member of the Chamber of Deputies of Italy as a member of the PCI. Then she focused almost exclusively on her theater career that since 1960 - had been following and was only rarely seen in the film and television - one of her first roles was that of Shakespeare's Juliet. Since 1994, she was no longer an artist.
Gravina in 1958 was awarded the Vela d' argento at the Film Festival of Locarno, 1980 in Cannes for best supporting actor in 1993 at the Montreal World Film Festival for Best Actress.
With Gian Maria Volonte she has a daughter, Giovanna.
