Carla Laemmle

Carla Laemmle Isabelle, Carla Lenard and Beth Laemlle ( born October 20, 1909 in Chicago, Illinois ) is an American actress.

Life

Carla Laemmele is the niece of the German -born Universal Pictures founder Carl Laemmle -. On his suggestion, the family of their father Joe was also reflected in the Hollywood then under construction.

She began her career in 1925 nor during the silent film era, making it one of the few surviving silent film actors. Laemmle took over in the aftermath minor roles in the horror classic The Phantom of the Opera and Dracula, in which they are in the role of a woman reading in a carriage spoke the first words of the film. She is the only one still living actress of these two films. Carla Laemmle was active until the late 1930s with in other films, but not come out on supporting roles.

Carla Laemmele came in 2001 briefly out of retirement to play a vampire in the movie The Vampire Hunters Club. In 2011 she published her Biographical Documentary Among the Rugged Peaks: Carla Laemmle The Story .. At about the same time, there has been a renewed comeback, Laemmle has since played in several small films Hollywood supporting roles.
