Carles Busquets
Carles Busquets Barroso ( born July 19, 1967 in Barcelona ) is a retired Spanish football goalkeeper and current goalkeeping coach of the second team of FC Barcelona.
He is the father of Sergio Busquets, who currently plays for FC Barcelona.
Career
A graduate of the Barcelona football academy Carles Busquets played his first professional game for FC Barcelona in the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1990/91, the Barcelona 1:2 lost against Manchester United. In the following years he came only for the second team of FC Barcelona used because Andoni Zubizarreta had its place in the gate safely. On November 7, 1993, he came in the 2-1 win against Racing Santander for the first time in La Liga for FC Barcelona used. After Zubizarreta Barcelona 1994 left in the direction of Valencia, Busquets rose for the season 1994/95 for the first goalkeeper of FC Barcelona. For two years, Busquets was the main goalkeeper Barça until after the 1995/96 season Vítor Baía and later Ruud Hesp has been committed. This Busquets became a substitute goalkeeper and played until he joined in 1998, only five league games. For the 1998/99 season, the Catalan joined the Spanish second division side UE Lleida, for which he ran aground until his career end of 2003, 108 times.
After he spent seven years as goalkeeper coach for the second team of FC Barcelona, he solved for the season 2010/11 Juan Carlos Unzué as goalkeeper coach of the first team from. After this season, Busquets was again goalkeeper coach of the B team, as Juan Carlos Unzué returned as goalkeeping coach for FC Barcelona.
