Carlo Simi

Carlo Simi ( born November 7, 1924 in Viareggio, † November 26, 2000 in Rome ) was an Italian architect, production designer and costume designer.

Simi was known for his work for Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns and Sergio Corbuccis. His most famous creation, the Western city of El Paso is still to be seen at the edge of the desert of Tabernas as mini Hollyood. Also for other films he created whole streets and influenced the design of the image works tremendously.

For once, it was in America received the Simi Nastro d'Argento for the best equipment.
