Carlos Babington

Carlos Babington ( born February 20, 1949 in Buenos Aires ) is a former football player and functionary.

Career

He began his career in 1969 at CA Huracán and moved in 1974 to SG Wattenscheid 09 There he graduated to 1978 120 games in the 2nd Bundesliga Nord, in which he scored 46 goals. In 1979 he returned to Atlético Huracán, he scored there as a striker to 1982 a total of 126 goals. His active career he finished in 1982 with the Tampa Bay Rowdies in Florida.

Babington was also Argentine national team, scoring two goals there. Among other things, he was part of the Argentine team in the World Cup 1974.

From 1988 to 1991 Babington was a manager of Atlético Huracán and since 2005 he is president of the association.
