Carlos Eduardo Marques ( born July 18, 1987 in Ajuricaba ) is a Brazilian footballer.

Career

Association

Carlos Eduardo began his career in his native Ajuricaba at the local football school Uefa Ajuricaba. In 2003, he played in youth teams of Gremio and won in 2006 the Brazilian U- 20 Championship. In 2007, he debuted in Gremio's first team and won in his first year as a professional Campeonato Gaúcho the.

In August 2007 he was transferred for a transfer fee of around eight million euros in the 2nd Bundesliga for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, where he signed a contract until June 2012. This makes it the most expensive player in the German second division history. His Debütgab Carlos Eduardo on 3 September 2007 in the 3-2 defeat away to SC Freiburg. In the following games, he became a regular player. From the beginning of the season 2008/ 09 until the end of the 2009/10 season he played with Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.
