Carlos Enrique Díaz de León

Carlos Enrique Díaz de León ( * 1910, † 1971) was 27 to 28 June 1954 President of Guatemala.

Career

Colonel Carlos Enrique Díaz was a friend and Jacobo Arbenz Guzmán 's successor. As part of the operation PBSUCCESS Óscar Osorio Hernández mediated end in June 1954 during negotiations with John Emil Peurifoy that led to the replacement of Carlos Enrique Díaz de León by Carlos Castillo Armas. At the end of his presidency, Díaz de León joined a military junta, led by Elfego Hernán Monzón Aguirre.
