Carlos Maia Pinto

Carlos Henriques da Silva Maia Pinto ( born June 5, 1886 in Porto, † November 2, 1932 ) was a Portuguese politician and prime minister (Presidente do Conselho de Cabinet Ministers ) during the First Republic.

Life

On October 19, 1921, he was appointed by Prime Minister Manuel Maria Coelho to the Minister for the Colonies in his cabinet.

A few days later he was appointed on 5 November 1921 as a successor to Coelho even then prime minister (Presidente do Conselho de Cabinet Ministers ). However, like many other prime minister of the First Republic was his term short. Already on 16 December 1921, he handed over the affairs of Francisco Pinto da Cunha Leal. During his tenure, he also assumed the post of Minister of the Interior.
