Carlos Ruckauf

Carlos Federico Ruckauf (* July 10, 1944 in Ramos Mejía ) is a Peronist politician in Argentina and a member of the Peronist Party.

Life

By March 1976, before the trial of the National Reorganization, was Ruckauf labor minister in the government of Isabel Martínez de Perón. After 1983, a civilian government was restored, he was Minister of the Interior in July 1995 and Vice President of the State in the Cabinet of Argentina Carlos Menem. He held until December 10, 1999 this office. In the same year he won the election to the post of governor of Buenos Aires. However, the Office he had in December 2001, during the Argentine crisis, to give up again. He was Eduardo Duhalde foreign minister offered in the new cabinet, which he accepted and carried out until 25 May 2003. Later in the year he was elected to the Argentine Chamber of Deputies and took there the province of Buenos Aires. He was there at the time of Néstor Kirchner's government in opposition, until he admitted his seat in Parliament in 2007.
