Carlos Velasco Carballo

Carlos Velasco Carballo ( born March 16, 1971 in Madrid, Spain ) is a Spanish FIFA football referee.

He is the Madrid Football Federation ( Federación de Fútbol de Madrid ) is connected and directs games in the Spanish Primera División. His league debut came in 2004 in the match between FC Barcelona and Sevilla FC. Since 2008 he is also active internationally. His first international game, which he headed, was the friendly match between Israel and Chile on March 26, 2008. Carlos Velasco Carballo has employed an engineer by profession and in the Madrid office of Texas-based Fluor Corporation.

On April 26, 2011, he led the semi-final first leg of the Champions League between FC Schalke 04 and Manchester United.

From the UEFA Carballo was set on 16 May 2011 for the management of the finals of the Europa League 2010/11 at the Dublin Arena.

On 20 December 2011, UEFA announced that Carballo as one of twelve referees for the Euro 2012 football championship in the squad heard. He led a total of two games. On June 8, 2012, he conducted the opening match of the tournament between Poland and Greece in Warsaw, which ended 1-1.

Carballo also one of the referees that are used at the World Cup in 2014.
