Carlos Vives

Carlos Vives ( born August 7, 1961 in Santa Marta / Colombia) is a Colombian singer and actor.

In his home country Vives is a star since the mid- 80s. At that time he began playing in various bands and also worked as an actor in Latin American soap operas, telenovelas, with. But his real passion is to write songs and to be on stage. His music is a mix of traditional Colombian accordion sounds ( vallenato ) with rock and pop elements.
