Carlsbad is a city in San Diego County in the U.S. state of California, with 105 328 inhabitants (as of 2010 census ). The metropolitan area has a size of 105.6 square kilometers.

History

In 1882, John Frazier here discovered a mineral spring, later it was discovered that the water is chemically similar to the waters of Carlsbad in Bohemia is one and named the place in 1889 in Carlsbad to (formerly Agua Hedionda ). The source is available in the city to this day and you can taste water from a fountain there. The water is filled into bottles. Today, the place is also popular as water sports site.
