Carmen Everts

Carmen Everts ( born April 12, 1968 in Wilhelmshaven ) is a former German politician (SPD, until 2010) and former Member of the Hesse Landtag.

Education and work

Carmen Everts studied after graduating from high school Gernsheim 1987 ( together with Jürgen Walter ) Law and Political Science with the degree Magister at the University of Mannheim in 1994. 1999 gained a doctorate at TU Chemnitz in Eckhard Jesse with a work in which they in political extremism example the Republicans and the PDS analyzed. 1995 to 1999 she was a staff of the company Nike, 1999-2003 principle consultant of the SPD state association. Since 2003 she was a Research Fellow of the SPD faction in the Hesse Landtag.

Policy

Carmen Everts was a member of the SPD since 1989. She was from May 2003 to November 2008 chairman of the SPD in the Groß -Gerau.

Since 1997 to November 2008 was Carmen Everts Member of the District Gross-Gerau and there deputy parliamentary leader of the SPD council group and Chairman of the Social Committee.

In the state elections in Hesse in 2008 27 January 2008 Everts was elected with 40.3 % of the primary vote, directly elected constituency MPs in the constituency wholesale Gerau II in the Hesse state parliament.
