Carnaby Street

The Carnaby Street is located in London (England ) in the north of the district of Soho. It is one of the most famous shopping streets of the city and is a pedestrian zone.

Owes its fame and the road especially fashion designers such as Mary Quant and John Stephen, who there offered their creations in the 1960s known as the Swinging Sixties. In 1969, the road from Peggy March with was " What so everything happens in Carnaby Street" sung. In recent years, the Carnaby Street has lost much of its former charm of the 1960s.

Is the well known, was founded in 1735, Shakespeare's Head Pub on the west side of Carnaby Street. In the north, the road reaches to the department store Liberty's.

Near the road are the metro stations Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus.
