Carnoy

Carnoy ( Picard: Carneu ) is a commune of 140 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region of northern France. The municipality belongs to the canton Combles and since January 1, 2013 part of the Communauté de communes du Pays du Coquelicot ( previously Communauté de communes du canton de Combles ).

Geography

The community is located about ten kilometers west of Combles and north of the department of road D938 Peronne by Albert that cuts through the southern part of the township.

History

The municipality received the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
