Carol Heiss

Carol Elizabeth Heiss, married. Jenkins (born 20 January 1940 in New York City ) is a former American figure skater who started in a single run. She is the Olympic champion of 1960 and the world champion in 1956 until 1960.

Carol Heiss grew up in Queens, New York City and began at the age of six years with the figure skating. Her coach was the French pair of running Olympic champion in 1928 and 1932, Pierre Brunet. In 1951, she was the age of eleven national champion in the novice, 1952 at the Junior and 1953 to 1956 she was runner-up in the senior Tenley Albright behind.

1953 Hot contested at the age of 13 years for their first World Cup and was promptly fourth.
