Carol Molnau

Carol Molnau ( born September 17, 1949 in Carver County, Minnesota) is an American politician. She was from 2003 to 2011 Deputy Governor of Minnesota and headed at times, the competent authority of that State for Transport.

Molnau studied at the University of Minnesota. In 1992 she was elected as a Republican to the House of Representatives from Minnesota. This, she belonged to for five periods of office and nine years respectively. In 2002 she was elected Vice- Governor, and thus, an alternate member of Governor Tim Pawlenty. This post took over from Mae Schunk. 2006 saw Molnaus re-election; in January 2011 they left office.

As a result of the collapse of the I-35W Mississippi River bridge on 1 August 2007 came her work as head of the Department of Transportation of the State ( Minnesota Department of Transportation) in the public debate.
