Carol Skelton
Carol Skelton ( born December 12, 1945 in Biggar, Saskatchewan ) is a former Canadian politician of the Conservative Party of Canada.
Life
Skelton was a farmer and livestock breeder and was elected as a candidate of the Canadian Alliance in 2000 for the first time a member of the Canadian House of Commons. She represented in this, now for the Conservative Party of Canada, to September 2008 the constituency Saskatoon - Rosetown - Biggar. Between April 2002 and June 2003, she was deputy chairman of the faction of their party and also deputy opposition leader in the House.
On 6 February 2006 appointed Prime Minister Stephen Harper Skelton Minister for National income in his cabinet. She held that post until 13 August 2007. At the same time she was of 6 February 2006 to 3 January 2007, Minister for Economic Diversification in the West.
Carol Skelton also committed to the organization founded in 1902, Head, Heart, Hands and Health ( 4 -H Club ).
