Carol Stream is a village ( with a status of "Village" ) in DuPage County in the northeast of the state of Illinois. On January 5, 1959 Carol Stream was officially elevated to the Village. At the 2000 census the city had 40,438 inhabitants.
Motto and name
The motto of Carol Stream is A great place to live and work (translated: " A great place to live and work "). The village was named after the daughter of the founder.
Geography
Carol Stream is 41 ° 55'19 "N 88 ° 8'27 " W. It is in the northeast of the state of Illinois, near Lake Michigan.

History
