Carola Anding

Carola Anding, after their wedding Carola Jacob, ( born December 29, 1960 in Struth- Helmershof ) is a former German cross-country skier who competed for East Germany.

She won along with Marlies Rostock, Veronika Schmidt and Barbara Petzold the gold medal in the relay in the long run at the 1980 Olympic Games in Lake Placid.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships 1982, she won again the bronze medal with the East German squadron. In 1984 she was with the Eighth Season at the Olympic Games in Sarajevo.

Carola Jacob is married to the former biathlete Matthias Jacob and has two daughters. Together with her husband she runs in her hometown flea Seligenthal a practice for sports physiotherapy.

In 1980 she was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver.
