Carolina (Puerto Rico)

Carolina is a city of American foreign territory Puerto Rico. The city is located in the northeast of the island. It has about 186,000 inhabitants and borders both the Atlantic Ocean and to the capital, San Juan. Carolina, together with the surrounding cities of San Juan, Trujillo Alto, Gurabo and Juncos the urban metropolis of the island. In the area of the city is the international airport of the island.

History

Carolina was founded in 1816 by the Spaniards.
