Caroline Loeb

Caroline Loeb ( born October 5, 1955 in Neuilly -sur -Seine ) is a French chanteuse, actress, theater director and author.

Life

Part of her childhood was spent Caroline Loeb in the U.S., where her father Albert Loeb ( born 1932 ) from 1958 to 1971 a gallery in New York City owned. In 1966 he opened a still existing gallery in Paris. She is the granddaughter of the gallery Pierre Loeb (1897-1964) and great-niece of photographer Denise Colomb (1902-2004), her brother is the actor Martin Loeb ( b. 1959 ).

In the 70s, she began her acting career in several films of Jean Eustache, including My little lover ( 1974), where her brother played the lead role. Except in other films, she also appeared on the theater stage. With their second single C'est la ouate (English title And So What ), which in the singles charts in Italy ranked No. 1 in Spain # 3, # 5 France, Germany and Austria # 10 No 1986 30 reached, she became known internationally. Among her many directing credits include, among others, a staging of the Vagina Monologues by Eve Ensler at the Théâtre Michel in Paris (2007). Caroline Loeb, who was temporarily also broadcast presenter, published 2006 Has Been her first novel.
