Caroline Plate

The Caroline plate is a small tectonic plate north of New Guinea. Your Southwest border is a subduction zone off the Bird's -head plate and the Woodlarkplatte, the southeastern border an oceanic convergence zone to the North Bismarck plate. A transform fault forms the northern and eastern boundary of the Pacific plate. Along the border of the Philippine plate to the west is a subduction zone, which merges into a rift zone to the south.
