Carolyn Schuler

During her career she could not win a single national title in singles. All the more surprising the Olympic victory came in the 100m butterfly at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome. With this victory, they also qualified for the U.S. 4 × 100 m medley relay, with which she was also victorious. In 1989 she was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
