Carpasio

Carpasio ( in Ligurian: Carpàsiu ) is a municipality with 160 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the northern Italian region of Liguria. Politically it belongs to the province of Imperia.

Geography

Carpasio lies to the east of the upper portion of the Valle Argentina. The municipality belongs to the Comunità Montana Argentina Armea and is approximately 36 kilometers from the provincial capital of Imperia.

According to the Italian classifications for seismic activity, the community of Zone 2 has been assigned. This means that Carpasio is in a seismically active zone moderate to strong.

Climate
