The Carretera Nacional N- IV is a state highway in Spain. Course

The Carretera Nacional N-IV led from the capital, Madrid, on over Cordoba, Seville and Cádiz. It laid down this route by 1940.

In many sections of the national road has been replaced by the A-4 motorway and upgraded to this. These are the sections Madrid - Seville and Jerez de la Frontera - Cádiz. Between Seville and Jerez de la Frontera, the still existing N-IV runs parallel to the motorway AP- fourth Between Jerez de la Frontera and Cadiz motorway A -4 and AP -4 are parallel to each other. The old route of the National Road was extended to this section to the highways CA -31, CA -32 and CA -33 and renamed.

The sections that are not to the motorway A-4 were expanded, were umwidmet the Carretera Nacional N- IVa. These are the sections in Villarta de San Juan, Santa Cruz de Mudela, Almuradiel, El Carpio, Carmona and the distances Los casinos -Córdoba and Rodamontes -La Carlota.
