Carriacou and Petite Martinique

Petite Martinique is a neighboring island of Carriacou and part of the Grenadines, a group of islands in the Lesser Antilles.

It is about 2.4 km ² and has around 900 inhabitants. It reaches a height of 226 meters. Five kilometers west of Petite Martinique Carriacou is. Both islands are part of Grenada.

However, the nearest island is only 725 meters further north neighboring island of Petit St. Vincent, which already belongs to the state of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Economy

The locals live by fishing, boat building and seafaring.

Traffic

Since 1998, over a daily ferry to Carriacou Grenada.
