Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley (Scottish Parliament constituency)

Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley is a constituency of the Scottish Parliament. It was introduced in 1999 as one of nine constituencies the election Region South of Scotland, which was re- cut by the revision of constituencies in 2011 and renamed in South Scotland. Here, the boundaries of the electoral district of Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley were redrawn. Former areas of constituencies Ayr north of Ayr and Troon were slammed Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley. In contrast, the southeastern city areas Ayrs went to the constituency of Ayr. The constituency comprises areas of the Council Areas East Ayrshire and South Ayrshire and appoint a deputy.
