Carrick-on-Shannon
Carrick-on- Shannon ( Irish: Cora Droma Rúisc ) is a town with 3163 inhabitants ( 2006) in the county of Leitrim (near the border with County Roscommon ) in Ireland and the administrative center of the county of Leitrim.
Geography
The place is located on the River Shannon and is the most important base for Ireland travelers who travel with the cruiser on the Shannon.
Traffic
Carrick -on-Shannon is an intermediate stop on the train route Dublin - Sligo, located on the N4 road that connects these two cities.
Twinning
The town is twinned with the French town Chantepie in Brittany closed.
