Carrier Onboard Delivery

The procedure of Carrier Onboard Delivery ( COD short ) refers to the ability of the U.S. Navy to supply its carrier battle groups at sea with important and much-needed materials and people.

The first carrier-based aircraft supply was the Grumman C-1 Trader, one that emerged from the Grumman S-2 Tracker transport option.

Their propagation is the carrier-based Grumman C-2 Greyhound, one that emerged from the Grumman E-2C Hawkeye transport option. The original C -2A units have now all been improved by 39 Grumman C -2A (R ), the R stands Reproduced, replaced, in turn, through all a SLEP (Service Life Extension Program). For this transport capability is to be maintained until these machines, most likely from the Bell - Boeing V-22 Osprey, will be replaced.
