Carro

Carro ( in Ligurian: O Caero ) is a small village with 576 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the Italian region of Liguria. Politically it belongs to the province of La Spezia.

Geography

The municipality is located in the upper Val di Vara and, with its communal land to the Comunità Montana dell'Alta Val di Vara. In addition, Carro forms with its territory a part of the natural park of Monte Marcello Magra.

The community itself is divided into seven housing estates: Pera, Agnola, Cerreta, Pavareto, Ziona, Castello and Ponte Santa Margherita.

Economy

The economy is based almost entirely on agriculture.
