The Carroll County is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee. In 2010, the County had 28 522 inhabitants and a population density of 18.4 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Huntingdon, which was after Mimican Hunt, an early settler, who provided the land for the city's foundation, named.

The County is located in the central north-west, is located in the north about 60 miles from Kentucky and has an area of 1554 square kilometers, of which 2 square kilometers is water area. At the Carroll County borders the following Nachbarcountys:
History
The Carroll County was formed on November 7, 1821 from Chickasaw country. It was named after William Carroll (1788-1844), a six-time governor of Tennessee.
