Carronvale House

Carronvale House is a mansion in the Scottish town of Larbert in the Falkirk unitary authority. In 1988, the building in the Scottish lists of monuments was first included in the category B. The be upgraded to the highest category A was 1993. Carronvale House is used as a training center of the Scottish Scout Association.

Description

The building is set in a large plot in the southeast of Larbert. It dates from 1897 and was built to a design by the famous architect John James Burnet. At the site since the 18th century there was a previous building, which was partially integrated into the new building. The neogeorgianische house encloses a small courtyard. The facades are plastered with Harl with stepped building openings. The roof is covered with modern red brick. The front of almost symmetrical structure is working with Blend pillars and cornices. The interior is decorated with intricate woodwork and marble floors. Worth mentioning are the different marble fireplaces and the Art Nouveau-style window.
