Carry-le-Rouet
Carry-le- Rouet is a commune with 6338 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bouches -du -Rhône in the Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur.
Geography
The community is located 30 kilometers west of Marseilles. Neighboring towns are Sausset -les-Pins and Ensuès la Redonne.
History
1833, the church was formed. At that time it spread over an area of 22.54 square kilometers. From 1877 school and town hall were located in a building that until 1951 the school was evicted. 1924 were 12.44 square kilometers, more than half of the area of the municipality, assigned to the community Sausset. 1926 the community had therefore only 265 inhabitants ( 1921: 565 ). However, from 1936 and especially after the second World War, the population rose sharply. 2007, the municipality had 6342 inhabitants.

Economy and infrastructure
The community is connected via Châteauneuf -les -Martigues to the A55 and thus to the cities of Marseille and Martigues.
