Carsick Cars

Carsick Cars are a Chinese indie rock band.

History

The Carsick Cars were founded in March 2005. Two months later, they had at the Technical University of Beijing their first appearance. On the basis of further performances in China's major cities they gained fame in the Beijing music scene.

2007 played the Carsick Cars several times in Europe, including on the Styrian Autumn Festival and opening for Sonic Youth. Their first album " Carsick Cars" was released in 2007. Her second called " You Can Listen, You Can Talk" came out in October 2009. In Beijing, Carsick Cars are the label Maybe Mars, in Europe at Fly Fast Records. Fly Fast Records Germany released the album in an extended version with documentation and video clip.

The often singing in English band recalls concerning the sound often to the early Velvet Underground as well as the guitar -heavy Sonic Youth.
