Carsten Byhring

Carsten Byhring ( born December 18, 1918 in Kristiania, † April 6, 1990 in Oslo) was a Norwegian actor. He is the older brother of actor Norwegian Svein Byhring.

Life

He debuted in 1941 on areas must Teater in Oslo. He then worked in various leading roles as a stage actor at the Chat Noir Theatre, Centralteatret, Det Norske Teatret ( " The Norwegian Theatre " ), Den Norske Opera & Ballet (Norwegian Opera & Ballet ) and at the Oslo Nye Teater ( New Theatre Oslo). Since the 1950s, he was involved in several successful Norwegian film and television productions as a film actor.

His most famous role was that of Kjell Jensen ( Danish original version of the Olsen Gang: Kjeld Jensen ) in thirteen films of Norwegian Olsen Gang. Byhring also had a guest appearance on the Danish Olsen Gang as a drunken tourist Øjvind in the film The (probably ) last match of the Olsen Gang, together with the other Norwegian Olsen Gang cast members Arve Opsahl and Sverre Holm.

In his last appearance in the spring of 1990, he said in an interview in the Norwegian Se og Hor television broadcast that he smoked several cigarettes a day since the age of fourteen, and thereby caused suffering from lung cancer. Shortly afterwards he died in April 6, 1990 at the age of 72 years from the effects of his illness.
